Air Quality and Environmental Analysis
A 1984 World Health Organization Committee report suggested that up to 30 percent of new and remodelled buildings worldwide may be the subject of excessive complaints related to indoor air quality (IAQ). Often this condition is temporary, but some buildings have long-term problems. Frequently, problems result when a building is operated or maintained in a manner that is inconsistent with its original design or prescribed operating procedures. Sometimes indoor air problems are a result of poor building design or occupant activities. The result is Sick Building Syndrome (SBS).
ECSS provides Air Quality and Environmental Analysis Services for households and businesses. We conduct intrusive and comprehensive tests of the environment to identify pollutants or ascertain problem areas that may affect the health and productivity of employees or residents. These include a wide array of analytical testing services to support our environmental investigations that are focused on asbestos, microbiology, lead paint, environmental chemistry, indoor air quality, and industrial hygiene applications. At the conclusion of the analysis we provide a report that identifies the problem areas and make recommendations to treat or alleviate the problem

The net heat Load to which a worker may be exposed from the combined contributions of metabolic heat, environmental factors, (i.e. air temperature, humidity, air movement, and radiant heat), and clothing requirements. A mild or moderate heat stress may cause discomfort and may adversely affect performance and safety, but it is not harmful to health. As the heat stress approaches human tolerance limits, the risk of heat related disorders increase.
Heat strain is the overall physiological response resulting from heat stress. The physiological responses are dedicated to dissipating excess heat from the body
Prolonged exposure to noise must be measured and documented in order to promote hearing conservation. Call us today to request a visit.
